The RTP® technology (RTP – Ready To Prep), is an innovative, economical and time-saving technology, whose special feature is the utilization of an Extraction Tube containing preformulated solid lysis reagents (nonchaotropic lysis buffer, Proteinase K) carrier nucleic acid and a defined amount of coated DNA or DNA/RNA Extraction Controls. The carrier nucleic acid and the Extraction Controls are coated on the wall of the Extraction Tube. The integrated Extraction Controls are a convenient tool for the assessment of extraction efficiency and quality of the purified nucleic acids as well as for the exclusion of false negative results.
